S: "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

O: Jesus uses the metaphor of a vine and branches. The key condition is "remaining" or abiding. Fruitfulness is entirely dependent on the connection to the vine — not on the branch's own effort.

A: I often try to produce fruit through my own strength. This verse reminds me that fruitfulness flows from closeness with Jesus — through prayer, His Word, and obedience.

P: Lord, help me to abide in You today. Let every action flow from connection to You, not from my own striving.
